William H. Lane attended the United States Military Academy from 1948 – 1951, then attended Clarkson University from 1951 – 1953 where he received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering. William H. Lane attended the United States Military Academy from 1948 – 1951, then attended Clarkson University from 1951 – 1953 where he received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering. He then spent thirty months as a Second Lieutenant, later promoted to a First Lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers, twenty months of which were spent in the Southern Area Command as a resident Engineer of Construction rebuilding post-war Germany. Upon his return to the United States, Bill worked as Vice President of Operations for local contractor Vincent J. Smith Incorporated prior to forming William H. Lane Incorporated. In addition to serving as CEO of the corporation, Mr. Lane is an Executive Committee Member of Broome County Community Charities and Chairman of the Lourdes Hospital Foundation. He has been involved with both organizations for more than twenty-five years.

Mark Lane graduated from Broome Community College and attended Binghamton University before joining the family business. As Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Mr. Lane is responsible for the overall direction of the company and oversees the management of all aspects of the business. Mr. Lane serves as a Member of Broome County Commun

As Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Mr. Lane is responsible for the overall direction of the company and oversees the management of all aspects of the business. Mr. Lane serves as a Member of Broome County Community Charities Board of Directors, the Lourdes Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, a Member of SUNY Delhi’s Construction Advisory Committee, and was Vice-Chair of the 2017 -2018 campaign for the United Way of Broome County.

Mrs. Shapley joined William H. Lane Incorporated with over a decade of experience in public accounting, with a specialized focus on the construction industry. She holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University.

Mrs. Shapley is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and a Certified Fraud Examiner. She actively contributes to the professional and local community through her leadership roles, including serving as Vice President of the Southern Tier Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs and as a member of the Binghamton University Accounting Advisory Council.
Additionally, she serves as Treasurer for both the Southern Tier AIDS Program and the Southern Tier Zoological Society.
